PTA Home

The Roosevelt PTA plays an intricate role in the dynamics of Roosevelt School. A primary goal of the PTA is to provide a friendly, inclusive atmosphere at Roosevelt, representing all parents/guardians and teachers. This collaborative setting truly benefits all the children of Roosevelt. Our slogan, which reflects this underlying spirit, is “We’re all in this together…Enhancing our kids’ education.”

The PTA contributes to the projects, programs and activities at Roosevelt School in two ways:
Funding and Volunteers

PTA – Funding

There are a few major sources of revenue for the PTA:

  • Chili Cook Off - This ‘fun’raiser involves the entire Roosevelt community of family and friends! Every family is contacted and asked to donate volunteer hours or gifts to make this day a success.
  • Shopping Programs - By simply signing up for the various programs, friends and families of Roosevelt are able to generate revenue for our school. All you have to do is sign up!
  • Walk-A-Thon -  At this event students will walk a roped-off course in and around the school. If they collect pledges,100% of the proceeds will go to Roosevelt School.

PTA – Volunteers

Volunteers are needed at Roosevelt for a wide variety of 'jobs.' Volunteers are valuable whether they are 'leaders' or ‘doers,' whether they have an hour a week or only evening hours, whether they are creative or analytical. Did you know that the cumulative volunteer hours at Roosevelt have averaged more than 15,000 for the past five years? There is a job for everyone, and everyone’s skills are appreciated.

All families are encouraged to join the PTA. Membership fees help to support special activities and projects and also keep our membership current at the District, State and National PTA levels. These more global PTA organizations provide us with invaluable assistance in keeping our organization efficient and informing us on national and state political issues that affect our children. By becoming a PTA member, 1
you are under no obligation to attend monthly meetings, although all parent and teacher input is greatly appreciated. PTA membership shows your support of Roosevelt School.
