REGISTRATION
Registration forms may be picked up in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 3:30. Please note that registration forms cannot be given out unless the following items are presented:
• Proof of birth date: a birth or baptismal certificate or passport

• Proof of residence: a current PG&E bill (required), plus one of the following: bank statement, credit

Your child’s enrollment/placement is dependent upon the prompt return of the completed registration forms.

NEW FAMILY/KINDERGARTEN PARENT TOURS
We realize that there is a certain degree of uncertainty and wonder involved with your child’s first year in school, and we would like to provide you with opportunities to gather information about Roosevelt School, and our kindergarten program in particular, and to ask questions that you might have at this time. In order to do this, we will be holding parent orientation meetings on:
Friday, January 18 - Begins at 8:30 and ends at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, February 15 - Begins at 8:30 and ends at 10:00 am.
Friday, March 22 - Begins at 8:30 and ends at 10:00 am

This meeting will involve an introduction and a general overview followed by a question and answer period. Parents will be escorted into both kindergarten classes for approximately 10 minutes per class. Other grades may be viewed if requested, duing the tour. Parents will then be given a tour of the school. This meeting is for parents only please.
KINDERGARTEN READINESS ASSESSMENT - Please schedule assessment time
In order for us to best place your child in a Kindergarten class for the 2013-2014 school year, we have scheduled three Kindergarten readiness assessment days. This will serve two purposes, to see where your child is developmentally and to help determine the best placement for next year. It will also give your child a chance to feel like they are gearing up for school!

KINDERGARTEN SCHEDULE
Class size for kindergarten is 22 or 23 students in a class. This number aligns with our current primary program in Grades 1 through 3. The hours are 8:30-2:00, Monday through Friday.A Transitional Kindergarten may be available for children who turn 5 years old between October 2 - December 2, 2013.
It is a half-day program held at one of the schools in the Burlingame School District, not necessarily your home school.

Please feel free to attend our Open House. This is a wonderful opportunity for your entire family to see the exciting work children are doing in all of our classrooms. Please save your specific questions regarding curriculum and teacher philosophy for an individual conference.
